12:00–13:00 — Business and Government Contributions to a Just Low-Carbon Transition
Business and Government Contributions to a Just Low-Carbon TransitionFor just transition planning to be effective, it should be aligned with broader government action on climate resilience. Governments too have a critical role to play in the transition. They are responsible for providing social protection and regulation, education, and re-skilling to support a just transition.
This virtual webinar will present the World Benchmarking Alliance's Just Transition methodology and assessment findings, inform understanding of business contributions to a transition through company case studies and examples of good practice and explore how governments enable a just transition.

12:00-12:10 – The Glasgow COPpuccinos at The Resilience Hub - Episode 5
Resilience Hub: Okalani describes the roots of her climate activism in her cultural legacy and her fear of loss, and how her own activism brought her family’s experience of changing weather into a larger realization of how humans were affecting the climate.

In the Pacific the changes are coming thick and fast, so helping people change their perception is not hard. Okalani’s activism draws her to help disadvantaged girls and women to develop their skills and livelihoods. Her message to the leaders at COP is that they should accelerate the movement of funds to help reinforce coastal infrastructure on the Pacific islands.
Her source of hope? Her fellow Pacific islanders! The infrastructure of hope.

The UN Race We need to cut emissions by half by 2030, and this requires exponential scaling of climate solutions to shift out the fossil-based. The UN Race to Zero, Exponential Roadmap Initiative and the SME Climate Hub have established sharp requirements to halve emissions every decade. Ericsson and the Exponential Roadmap Initiative invite you to this session to showcase the strategies and actions taken by some world-leading companies, showing that sharp climate action is possible and creates a competitive advantage—and discuss actions beyond their own business to reach the tipping point required.

17:00-18:00 — How partnerships across the value change enable circular transformation
Almost 50% of the CO2 we use are embedded in the products and the infrastructure or the food we are consuming. To have a possibility to reach the ambitions set in the Paris agreement we will need to create circular material flows. In our current linear system, we work in silos. This will not be the case in a future circular economy where the ability to collaborate will be a key component. In this session, the focus will be on the importance of partnerships in creating circular material flows.
